In 1582, four Japanese teenage ambassadors set sail from Nagasaki to Lisbon on what would be an 8-year adventure. In “Musicians of the Tenshō Embassy,” Lyracle tells their amazing story and celebrates their musical accomplishments through music and storytelling.

Molza: Music for a Muse

In this live-streamed performance for the 2020 virtual Conclave of the Viola da Gamba Society of America, we celebrate the talents and accomplishments of Tarqunia Molza (1542-1617), the virtuosic soprano, viol player, and highly paid employee at the Este Court in Ferrara, who was known for her unrivaled ability to accompany her own singing on the viol.
